Customized PP/PE/ABS/PET Masterbatches Are Acceptable
1. Make the pigment have better dispersibility in the product. Pigments must be refined in the process of masterbatch production in order to improve the dispersibility and coloring power of pigments. The carrier resin of the special color masterbatch is basically the same as the resin type of the product, so it has good compatibility and can be melted into pigment particles by heating and dispersed in plastic products.
2. Ensure the stability of product color. The particle state of color master particle is similar to that of colored resin particle, which is more convenient and accurate to measure. It will not adhere to the container when mixed, and mix well with the resin. Therefore, the stability of the added amount can be guaranteed, unlike the trace addition of pigment spots. A slight error in the process of measurement or operation will cause color difference, so as to ensure the stability of the product color.
3. Avoid polluting the environment.
4. Easy to use.
Second, what is the main composition of color masterbatch?
Generally speaking, color masterbatches are mainly composed of colorant, carrier and dispersant.
1. Colorant color masterbatch is the most important component. The colorant used in polyolefin, PVC and other color masterbatches is pigment, and various pigments with different properties can be selected according to different uses. The masterbatches for engineering plastics can be solvent dyes, some high – grade organic pigments and some high – temperature resistant inorganic pigments. Generally speaking, dyes should not be used for polyolefin coloring, otherwise it will cause severe migration.
2. The dispersant mainly wets the surface of the pigment, which is conducive to further dispersing the pigment and stabilizing it in the resin. At the same time it must be good compatibility with resin, does not affect the quality of coloring products. Low molecular weight polyethylene wax or zinc stearate are generally used as dispersants of polyolefin masterbatches. Engineering plastics color masterbatch dispersing agents are usually polar low molecular weight polyethylene wax, zinc stearate, calcium stearate and so on.
3. The carrier makes the pigment evenly distributed and the color masterbatch particle is granular. The compatibility with coloring resin and good dispersibility of color masterbatch should be considered in selecting the carrier. Therefore, the fluidity of the carrier should be greater than that of the resin, and it does not affect the quality of the product after being colored. If the same polymer with larger melt index is selected, the melt index of the master particle is higher than that of the colored polymer, so as to ensure the uniform color and luster of the final product, without obvious moire and stripe.
